Can anyone relate to this????
After making my list of Favorite Books Read in 2019, I thought about what recipe should accompany the post. Like Garfield, I love lasagne! In fact, it is my favorite recipe to make. I have tried numerous lasagna recipes over the years, but this Classic-Style Lasagne adapted from a 2007 Southern Living magazine is my favorite. It is made with ground Italian sausage, mushroom, mozzarella, and a mixture of spinach, ricotta, and parmesan. It uses oven-ready noodles, which keeps it from being too saucy.
I have a fun Chicago Metallic Lasagna Trio Pan that I use when we have guests with different tastes. I can leave out the spinach or mushrooms in one section, use gluten-free noodles in another section and/or make a vegetarian lasagna in the third section. This Christmas season I baked the Classic Lasagna in my “Legal Size” 9-inch x 13-inch Pyrex dish, which allows for two layers. If you have a deeper pan, then you could easily make three layers.
p.s. I have a new website: www.booksandrecipes.com
